We provide two options for releasing this pressure 1) The straw spout in the center and 2) The drink/pour spout. Leaving one or both of these open for 10-15 minutes will alleviate the lid rising. The liquid inside will still remain hot as the double-wall will maintain ideal drinking temperatures.
