Product Description
This is a set of 6 silver plated art deco figural knife rests or cutlery holders made in France in the 1930s. The knife rests each measure 3 inches long by 1 inches high and are in superb, very good +++ used vintage condition. I am still debating whether they are cats or dogs. The faces look like cats with a bow, but the tail is a bit short. I have had dachsunds before with the same body from the same era, sothe jury is still out. They are part of a knife rest collection I acquired in England. I have had individuals before but was so thrilled to find a set. A great item of kitchenalia as well as a wonderful way to keep your table cloth clean by supporting your knife. Knife rests are enjoying a renaissance for use on dining
