Product Description
Cooking in clay is an ancient practice, one that creates the most nuanced and robust flavors from even the most simplest bean dishes. This 6.5 quart Egyptian covered clay bean pot is thick, sturdy, and made to last generations. Totally glazed inside, the outside is a combination of terra cotta and molasses-colored drip glaze. This beautiful piece of pottery is handmade in Egypt by talented artisans. Terra cotta clay high fired at 2,000°F for strength, durability and chip resistance. Handmade, natural earthenware. Minor imperfections add authenticity and charm, and are part of the piece. Easy to clean, hand-applied glaze. Lead and cadmium free. Dimensions: 10” W x 11” H (25.5 cm x 8 cm). Opening 7” W (18 cm). Because our pots are handmade, the actual dimensions may vary. Made in Egypt. Note: We recommend the Bella Copper heat diffuser. All of

The cone-shaped cover helps return condensation back to the bottom during the cooking process. The tagine is used for stews, steaming vegetables and cooking sliced meats. Made from all-natural materials, the non-toxic tagine is a great addition to the conscientious cook's kitchen collection.
