This superior carving set gives you a long 10-inch slicing blade and carbon steel honing rod to keep your knife edge straight and true. Our carving knife is a full tang blade built into a comfortable, 3 rivet design handle for a safe and secure assembly. The blade is dimpled with scallops to make carving easier, by allowing meat juices to pool in the depressions and reducing the amount of friction as you cut. The result is less tearing of the meat and less clinging to the blade. A honing rod is included to keep your knife in top condition. The main purpose of the rod is to push the edge of the blade back to center and to straighten it.
