Body: Knives are subject to heavy wear and tear due to everyday use. The use of the knife sharpener (or honing steel) ensures an impeccable edge maintenance due to the chrome-plated carbon tich steel of its body.



Handle: The handle plays a very important function in the sharpener or honing steel, given that its support will be significant when using it. Manufactured from polypropylene, sits comfortably and adpats to the curve of hand, increasing safety and reducing slippage.

This honing rod polishes your knives smooth. It features a medium surface of approximately 2000 grit. The black ceramic is a new ceramic that is much durable than traditional white ceramic. The surface will realign edges quickly and work better on Japanese cutlery which tend to be harder. These rods are meant to hone a knives edge. Use it regularly at home to maintain a fine edge.
