This Spode Christmas Tree large glass salad bowl has been lightly -- if ever -- used. It's in excellent condition with no scratches, dings, wear to the gold trim, or dishwasher damage. Made in France by Arcoroc, it measures 9" across the rim and stands 4⅜" tall. Two sides feature the Spode Christmas tree with holly and mistletoe sprigs on the other sides. The base is stamped "arcoroc FRANCE". Christmas Tree items feature a festive pattern created in 1938 by Harold Holdway, a young Spode designer. Though Holdway had never trimmed a tree himself, he managed to design the perfect Christmas tree complete with wrapped gifts and the well-known St. Nicholas topper. Christmas Tree was an instant hit and continues to be popular today. We're diligent and uncompromising packers with decades of experience.
